Our Hub

Our laboratory, the fMEG Center, is located in the city of Tübingen in Southern Germany. With fetal magnetoencephalography as neuroimaging technique, we can study neurobiological mechanisms in fetuses and newborns. Our group is not only highly interested in cognitive brain development but also the crosstalk between brain and peripheral organs, focusing on metabolic activities. With stress causing numerous metabolic changes in the body, this is one of our areas of interest. Investigation of perinatal experiences in pregnant woman and new mothers during the current COVID-19 pandemic gives us important insights which we can combine with our neuroscientific and metabolic research. http://preissl-lab.net/research/
