Is there a data sharing component of being a member of the COVGEN alliance?COVGEN is a platform for investigator-driven sharing of information and approaches. There is no expectation that data collected at individual hubs will be made available across the alliance.

Where can I access materials that are publicly being shared by the COVGEN alliance?Materials are being shared via the Open Science Framework (OSF). A link to this OSF repository can also be found in RESOURCES, above.

What are the advantages of becoming a COVGEN alliance hub?Hubs are encouraged to form coordinated subnetworks. By facilitating information exchange across hubs, the alliance will increase opportunity for new cross-linkages. Hubs are also welcome to cite their involvement in the COVGEN alliance as a means of demonstrating ties to larger-scale efforts.

What plans are there for future data sharing and/or publications across the alliance?It is expected that in the future there will be opportunities and support for large-scale data-sharing initiatives to arise across our investigators.

What is the goal of the testimonials?Our New York investigators are in the process of developing a secure and ethical way to collect individual video narratives from families around the world. Please stay tuned for development of this initiative. Hubs with interest in participating will be sought in the future.

Who provides funding for the COVGEN alliance?It is wonderful to acknowledge the funding that makes research about the COVID generation (COVGEN) possible. Acknowledgement of funding is provided on individual Hub pages. Presently there is not support for the alliance as a whole.
