The Vanderbilt SEA Lab is dedicated to studying how children’s experiences are associated with development. With this goal in mind, at the start of the COVID-19 pandemic, we joined the COPE Research Initiative in efforts to better understand the impact of COVID-19 on our participants (i.e., pregnant women and mother-infant dyads).
We are honored to join this international effort to better understand the significance that the pandemic has had on these individuals and families. In our Nashville-based sample, 12% of surveyed women reported being Hispanic/Latinx; 10% Black or African American, 70% White, 13% two or more races, and the remaining declined or selected another answer. We are inviting all families to participate in longitudinal follow-up assessments in our lab at ages 6 and 18 months.
